Individual Therapy
We offer high-quality, evidence-based individual therapy, tailored to your needs and building on your strengths. Whether you want to focus on skill-building or deeper exploration and insight-oriented work, we can help. Our clinicians have been trained in a variety of psychotherapeutic frameworks, including psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral (CBT), dialectical behavioral (DBT), relational, and integrative. In addition to their graduate and post-graduate work, everyone on our team has specialized in working from a trauma-informed lens to better understand the impact of stress and adversity on our minds and bodies, and to better help you navigate the unique challenges you are facing in your life.
Couples and Family Therapy
Whether you have been together for a month or a year, whether your family is expanding or not, we can help you face stressors and adversity while enhancing your sense of connection and support. Our team members are committed for providing LGBTQIA+ affirming relationship therapy with a sense of cultural humility and honoring your unique background and identity. Several of our staff are further trained in Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) and EFT for couples who have experienced significant trauma.
Specialized PTSD Treatment
Not everyone who experiences trauma will develop PTSD and, further, not everyone who experiences symptoms of PTSD will benefit from a “one size fits all” treatment. Therefore, our staff are trained to provide several gold-standard evidence-based treatments for PTSD and moral injury, including Prolonged Exposure (PE), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Trauma-Focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). We use these treatments in conjunction with therapeutic interventions aimed at increasing each individual’s overall well-being. You and your therapist can discuss the fit and utility of each treatment based on your own unique needs and experiences.
Child Therapy
Our child therapists offer a blend of trauma-informed therapy, including play therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), to meet your child or teenager’s needs. We further combine art therapy and trauma-informed art therapy to assist your child with personal growth and creative self-expression.
Grief Therapy
Grief comes in different shapes, as waves of sadness, crying, worry, and anger, or as periods of numbness and emotional detachment. Grief is a natural response to losing a loved one, but it can also morph into a prolonged, persistent, and pervasive reaction that causes significant disruptions in your sense of self and your functioning in the world. It may be particularly difficult to adjust to the loss, causing symptoms akin to PTSD, including intrusive thoughts and memories, avoidance, and isolation. You do not have to face loss alone. Whether you are recently bereaved or experiencing a prolonged grief reaction, we can help.
Evaluations
We offer a variety of mental health evaluations, including for court, gender transitioning, bariatric surgery, and more. We specialize in providing comprehensive forensic evaluations of people who have experienced trauma and continue to suffer from the emotional, occupational, and relational consequences thereof. Particular area of expertise is determining the link between childhood trauma and PTSD/Complex PTSD in adulthood. Our providers are skilled at conducting evaluations for court pertaining to the Child Victims Act, as well as immigration and asylum evaluations.
Please note that we do not offer psychoeducational or aptitude evaluations, neuropsychological evaluations, and ADD/ADHD evaluations.
