Dr. Kahn is a licensed psychologist with over a decade of experience specializing in exposure-based treatment for OCD and related disorders, as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for anxiety and interpersonal concerns across the lifespan. Grounded in evidence-based care, Dr. Kahn blends structured, outcome-focused methods with a warm, humorous, and reality-focused style that helps clients face fears, build skills, and make practical changes that last.
Dr. Kahn has extensive experience working with children, teens, and adults, and offers parent training to support skill generalization at home. Treatment with younger children is informed by Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) principles, emphasizing coaching, behavior shaping, and positive parent–child dynamics. Dr. Kahn also works at the intersection of anxiety/OCD and trauma, helping clients disentangle trauma-related reactions from anxiety-driven avoidance, using approaches such as exposure and response prevention (ERP), trauma-focused CBT, and careful case formulation to sequence interventions safely and effectively. In work with couples, Dr. Kahn emphasizes perspective taking and understanding everyone’s contribution to the relationship. Whether addressing intrusive thoughts, panic, social anxiety, or relationship patterns, Dr. Kahn collaborates closely with clients (and families when appropriate) to create clear goals, track progress, and laugh where possible—because therapy works best when it’s both scientifically sound and human.
